Welcome back!
My last blog was about Autumn. I shared general information about the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Then I told you why Autumn has two names and how scientists calculate its beginning and end. For those of you who like stargazing like Dad and I, we shared with you the names of the constellations you can see during November. If you missed this informative blog, click here, to read it.
Today I will tell you about my new book: “Joey Meets the Tooth Fairy.” Mom is very proud of me! Hm, it all started with my visit to the Tooth Fairy castle. It was awesome!!! Yes, you read it right. The next morning, during breakfast, I would not stop talking about it and the special gift she left me. Mom suggested writing it down in my Traveling Journal before I forget about it. I smiled at Mom and said, “Are you kidding me? Who can forget that?” My parents encouraged me to publish it. Mom helped me find a publisher. Everything was going well, but then…. it was not possible. We had a family meeting and thought about what to do. Dad said, “We live in Germany. How about publishing it in German?“ High five!!! In 2013, I published my book, “Joey trifft die Zahnfee”.
This year, I told my parents, “Mom, Dad, I would like to publish the book in English.” “Excellent idea!,” they said. Mom helped me find an editor and an interior book designer to layout the book. Wow, I sound like a professional author. Let me explain. An editor is very important. It is someone who reads your story, finds mistakes, and makes changes to it. The book designer is the “puzzler.” This person matches the text with the illustrations like a puzzle. Then we searched for a publisher. Many publishers refused to publish it, because… “It’s not a new book. You already published it in German.” I was starting to get discouraged, but my parents told me not to give up. Mom and I decided to look for several Self-Publishing options. One day, Mom told me, “Joey, let us try Ingram Spark. I have read good reviews about them.” We went to their website, followed all the guidelines, and “wah-lah!” The book was released on November 13, 2025.
We want to thank Eva Maria Dietrich Carreño, Jennifer Rees, and JC Perry from Reedsy.com for their help. Special thanks to Lisa Ferro for writing an amazing editorial review. We are also thankful to Kameron Brook, Reedsy Discovery Services, for writing an excellent review of the book.
I gotta run now. We are preparing our big promotion before Christmas. And talking about Christmas. Let us remember it is a special birthday celebration.
Our family wishes y’all: Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Happy New Year!

Remember to brush your teeth and keep them clean for the Tooth Fairy.
